Gujarat Titans (GT) IPL 2022 Schedule, Squad, Players List, Venue. Gujarat Titans (GT) along with Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) are the two new teams inducted into the IPL.
Both teams will face off each other on March 28 at the MCA stadium in Pune at 7.30 pm to get their campaign started. Gujarat will be led by Hardik Pandya while Lucknow will be led by KL Rahul. The BCCI announced the IPL 2022 schedule earlier on March 6, Sunday.
The BCCI has finalised four venues across the state of Maharashtra to host 74 IPL 2022 matches. Wankhede and DY Patil Stadium will host 20 matches each while the Brabourne stadium in Mumbai and MCA Stadium in Pune will play hosts to 15 games each. The board has also finalised to allow 25 percent of the crowd capacity to enter into the stadium for the first phase of the season.
The matches will be held across a time span of 65 days. There will 12 double heard this season with Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad playing the last league game on May 22. The final will be played on ay 29. However, the BCCI is yet to finalise the venues for the same.
The 10 teams have been divided into two groups of five teams each. In group A, there are teams like Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants. Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans are part of group B.
