Australian UFC star Jamie Mullarkey’s night sadly didn’t end in the way he had hoped it would, as he copped a brutal TKO loss to Jalin Turner.
It was a constant barrage of strikes from Turner across the first round, although Mullarkey’s take-down gave the Central Coast product a glimmer of hope that he could turn the fight around in his favour.

But Turner’s striking clinic returned to the fore once the second round began, before a monster right hand proved to be the straw that broke the camel’s back as Mullarkey crumpled up to protect himself before the referee waved off the fight in what was the first time the Aussie had ever been finished.
Turner’s latest victory is the 26-year-old’s fourth in a row, with all fights ending in finishes: two via submission and two via TKO.
The scrap began at a frenetic pace as Turner looked to throw a high volume of strikes from the get-go while Mullarkey responded with some big bombs of his own.
The Aussie lightweight managed to take down Turner but couldn’t do much with his ground work as the clock ticked down towards the end of the first round.
Turner is now 6-2 in the UFC and 12-5 overall, while Mullarkey is now 2-3 in the UFC and 14-5 overall.
UFC fans and fighters were quick to praise the dominant fashion in which Turner earned his victory, with many wondering just how far he can go during his time with MMA’s premier organisation.
